The Whole Armour of God

LETTERS FROM HOME

If you are like me and you are tired of all these ‘kill my enemies’ prayers prevalent in our generation or you are really angry especially because it has become a norm, you will agree with me that we need to understand what true spiritual warfare is about.

In the weeks to come, I will be sharing on ‘The Whole armour of God’ and how they help us to fight right in these times, enforce our victory and remain standing afterwards.

When you take up the full armour of God, they identify you as God’s soldier and that means you have automatically declared war against the devil.

A lot of people are fighting against the wrong people (wrong battles) because of the armour they are wearing. Instead of wearing the shield of faith to fight the devil, they put on the cloak of malice to fight their mother in law- wrong armour, wrong battle.

Instead of using the Gospel of peace to calm Satan’s raging storms, they join forces with the enemy to point accusing fingers at their family members. Again, the armour is wrong so the battle can’t be right.

You cannot wear malice and bitterness as an armour and claim to be fighting for God. No, you are armed with Satan’s tools, so its a lose-lose situation. If you dress right, you will be able to fight right.

So my question for you today is: What are you wearing?

We are up against far more than we can handle on our own. The battle is important but the after math is more important. God wants you still standing after the battle is over to take up the spoils. Never forget that!

So join me in this journey through the six inevitable armours every Christian must put on in order to fight right and remain standing:

  1. The belt of truth around your waist
  2. The Breast plate of Righteousness
  3. Readiness to announce the Good news of peace as your shoe
  4. The Shield of Faith
  5. The Helmet of Salvation
  6. The Sword of the Spirit.

I trust that you are ready to match into the coming days fully clad and ready to take down strongholds and bring them into the obedience of Christ.

Have a blessed week!

  1. Hmm,
    Mum this one is bamm.
Just the introduction has done a whole lot in my spirit as I read.
Indeed, like uncle Williams said, it’s so timely because we are really beginning to get things wrongly.

    Thanks ma and more grace.
This sort can only come by the spirit.
