Last year was a memorable one for me. I had a fair share of joyful and sad moments. I cried, laughed and learned so much.

There were days I sat in my room and cried buckets simply because I didn’t understand what God was doing and I doubted him. It looked like He was wrecking my life and I was getting offended.

Every thing I had believed and professed was tested. There were times I even had to come to my blog to find posts that will encourage me. I would read my own post and wonder if it was really written by me.

The things I had written for others to do, I needed to be reminded of again. I realized It is very easy to sit in the comfort of your room, grab your Lap top and tell people going through tough times to hold on and trust God but when the rubber meets the road, its also easy to chicken out.

In all things, I have learnt to worship even when I don’t understand God, to maintain my confession and never let my faith get contaminated by what I am seeing. I have learnt that God is God and he is good!

In this new season, I have just one singular pursuit- I sincerely want to know God and trust him more.

I know this sounds so spiritual, but that is the sincere desire of my heart. Every goal, hope and dream I have is geared towards achieving this one thing and anything that will hinder this, I will speedily eliminate.

Dear friend, in the midst of all that is happening in the world; don’t let your eyes off Jesus. There is so much depth in him you are yet to know. Every day is another opportunity to love God more and become more like Christ.

And in case you are afraid of the new year or feel threatened by the uncertainties that lie ahead; I want to remind you that God is with you. Joseph was in the prison but God was with him, so was He with Daniel and the three Hebrew men all through their trials.

I won’t promise that challenges won’t come but Jesus himself said “I have told you these things so that you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

These words give me hope.

We overcome!

Happy new year friends!
